De’ Angelo Marquis was born in St. Louis, Missouri, May 30, 1983. De’ Angelo began singing in church at the tender age of five with the ability to lead songs that were before his time. It was at that time where the connection of God, Music, and Creativity became apparent.
De’ Angelo was classically trained in high school, and that training opened up the door for him to receive a full vocal scholarship to historic Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL. He did however, graduate from the Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. Through his matriculation, De’ Angelo became absorbed in the technicality, science, and art of music.
De’ Angelo served as a member of J.T. & Rebirth for over ten years and was a son of the founder, Julius Collins, III. Serving as the business manager for the group not only helped develop his singing abilities, but also built character, developed leadership skills, and strengthened the heart for ministry. After the sudden passing of Julius Collins, III, De’ Angelo succeeded him and became
the leader/visionary of Rebirth. Serving faithfully to J. T. & Rebirth opened the door for God to take De’ Angelo to next level in ministry.
During his ministry, De’ Angelo has sung background for many groups and has worked on countless projects. He has had the esteemed pleasure to open up and or sing background for national recording artists such as: Pastor Kim Burrell, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Pastor Charles Jenkins, and countless others.
